Desert Rats Batallion
Conflict In
As this competition is the
same as the Euro-Domination Clan League it will be run as per their rules
however to make it a little more interesting we have a few notable differences,
The objective is to dominate
As we all know our community
has a varied range of members whose skill level is higher and sometimes lower
than others, with this in mind and due to the fact we would like this
competition to not just be a 1v1 option we have decided to add a few rules of
our own making, the must notable will be the chance for you to form an alliance
with other members who can assist you in the defence of your countries and in
turn offer the alliance a chance to dominate the European scene,
The competition will last for 3 months, during this time to allow for new members to take part in
it they will be allowed to join at any time throughout the competition.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Awards
There will be an AWARD for
the winner or alliance who hold the most Countries at
the end of the 3 months in the form of
The Conflict
in
Domination
Medal

Country Assignments
Number of Active Countries
There
are 43 Countries available countries in this competition and each has been
allocated a particular COD2 map, most are stock maps but some are custom maps
that require downloading for the matches,
To download
the map if you have not already got it just click the name of the map below for
your download to begin,
If you download the maps from
here, choose “save as” and “all files” then edit the extension to .iwd, if you do this correct you can paste the file directly
into your main folder
Assigning Countries To Begin The Competition
To get the competition
started each player will be allocated 2 maps at random, these countries will be
“YOUR TERRITORY”
Once these have be randomly selected you will be able
to begin your domination challenge, to invade another country you will need to
have under your control a country which shares a border with the country you
want to invade, if you do not have a country that meets this requirement you
can opt to attack another country further away, however to do this will require
you to initiate an “Airborne Invasion” on that country, if you decide to use this option your
attack will be penalised as you will not be able to support your invasion.

Invasion Information
Land Invasion Information
A “Land Invasion” will be where one country
borders another country meaning that there is nothing to stop one player from
attacking another except the army that occupies the country, when this is the
case there will be no additional credits (such as airborne invasion credits)
issued to the defending player except the penalisation placed upon the player
who occupies the most countries, (see handicaps below)
Airborne Invasion
Information
An Airborne Invasion will be required if you wish to
attack a country that you do not have a border with, when this option is used
your attack will be penalised depending on the amount of countries you have to
fly over to initiate the attack as follows,
|
Airborne Invasions &
The Round Penalisations For Using Them
|
|
|
1 |
If your country borders another
country, there will be no credits applied to the defending player as it will
be classed as a “Land
Invasion” |
|
2 |
If you need to jump a single
border to attack, the defending player will be credited 2 rounds towards the
11 required for he/she to successfully defend their
country. |
|
3 |
If you need to jump 2 borders
to attack another country, the defending player will be credited 3 rounds
towards the 11 required for he/she to successfully
defend their country. |
|
4 |
If you need to jump 3 borders
to attack another country, the defending player will be credited 4 rounds
towards the 11 required for he/she to successfully
defend their country. |
|
5 |
If you need to jump 4 borders
to attack another country, the defending player will be credited 5 rounds towards
the 11 required for he/she to successfully defend
their country. |
|
|
|
When
a players country is attacked and a post added to the “Invasion Challenges”
thread by a member stating their intention to invade your country, you will not
be able to accept another challenge for this map from another player, further
to this if you have attacked a country and failed to capture it you will not be
able to attack it again until it has been attacked by another player
A defending player will have to accept any challenge
received unless:
|
|
|
|
1 |
They are either playing or named as a substitute for an
official match within 1 hour of match taking place |
|
2 |
Either player is due to attend an official training
session within the clan |
|
3 |
The player has already played 2 matches in this
competition on the same night |
|
4 |
The servers are being used for another match – we will
add extra servers if required |
|
5 |
The player is about to play a friendly match within 1
hour |
|
6 |
They are going offline within 1 hour of requested match
start time |
|
7 |
They defended the country against invasion from the same
player in the last attack |
|
|
|
Rule Update: - If it is noted that you fail to accept a defence for a
country that you occupy from a player without a valid excuse or by using a
reason/s from above excessively to keep control of the country you may find
that a “population uprising” within that country has forced you out of power, in this
event the country will be available for occupation by other players only, after
a player has won the country you will be free to attempt to invade it again
When you accept a defence on a country you occupy you must play this before any attack you do from it, the reason for this is to make sure that you are still in control of any country that you initiated the attack from,
If you lose the defence then
any attack from it will be cancelled, the easiest way to confirm this is for
you to defend the country then attack from it, if you get attacked after this
state that you have an attack pending before you can defend the country
Choices Of Side And Pistol Bash Information
Any player that Occupies a country will have the
choice of which side he/she starts on - Allies or Axis,
If the country that you
intend to invade is un-occupied, when the challenge is accepted a pistol bash
will determine who has choice of side,

Positives
of Forming An
The
1st requirement for forming an alliance is that both players must have
countries that border each other,
Provided
this requirement is met players have the opportunity
to attack or defend as a team, this can
involve some members defending against 2 players alone, however as you also
could form an alliance you can request for another player whose country borders
yours to help you out with your defence.
Admin
Update:
To
attack a country as an alliance the following must be met,
1, Both alliance members countries must border the country you are attacking - 2, Both alliance members must border
each others countries
If
an alliance is formed and wins an attack on a country that alliance will hold
the country together, the country will be displayed upon the Conflict In Europe
map with only the colour code of the player
who initiated the attack on the country,
In
the event that 1 player loses their country which borders the country they have
an alliance in, they will still be able to help defend the country but will not
receive any credits for an attack within this country (See Downfalls of Forming
an Alliance Below)
If
they are challenged and one fails to show up for the defence then the match
will continue with whoever is available.
The
opportunity to form an alliance will be useful for the members who wish to play
this competition but think they are not quite strong enough to compete on their
own, simply form an alliance with someone before playing a game
Downfalls Of Forming An
The
Defending player receives a credit of 1 due to defending against an alliance on
their own “EXTRA” of the handicap system
Any
player that helps out with a defence/ invasion of a country that is successful
will occupy the country equally with the original defender/invader, in the
event that this player decides to end the alliance in that country he/she will
be given 2 round credits towards his attack on the country meaning that for
them to take control of the country fully they will only need to win 9 rounds
in a match
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Occupying A Country
The first player to reach 11 rounds wins the match
If you begin with an airborne
invasion credit and/or a handicap credit these will be combined before the
match starts and both players will be expected to agree the total in the “Invasion Challenges” thread
on the website, the match is effectively over once 1 player reaches the
required score to either Invade or Defend the map,
It is NOT necessary to
complete the full match rounds of 20 after one player has won, but in the event
of an error it would be better for you to do this, Make sure you know what is
required to win a map, if you are unsure ask for help in deciding from an
Admin, we will try to confirm the totals required on the match thread once you
have accepted a match.
If the score is level then
the same rules as on Euro-Dom will apply - I.E. PB to decide sides then 1
round to decide match

Country Maps
Countries & the Map Associated With Them
All countries have been allocated either a custom map
or a stock map, this is the map which “MUST” be played,
If you are found to be
playing a map other than this the result will be void and your challenge will
be cancelled.

After you have completed the
match the winner will be required to submit the score into our forums, it will also be

a player loses connection during the match he is able to rejoin,
the quickest way to do this is to type /reconnect into your game console, the

Handicap -System
There will be a handicap system in an attempt to make
the games a little fairer across the board - the handicaps are shown below
For
Matches will take place as per normal but if the attacker/defender has a handicap credit both sides need to agree the total before the match starts so that all players know what is required to win the game
